solar wax melter

Many people believe that honey is the only product derived from bee hive. Wax is also a Product. One of the method use to process wax is to boil the honey comb , This take a lot of time and work of which I don’t have . I heard about the solar wax smelter and decide to make one. In 2008 I made one using ply board,it worked slow but work.The Sun/Heat dry out the board ! and it crumble to almost dust. That was a WOW experience.

I have to use metal,calculating my cost,one day going to work I see an old refrigerator dump by the road.A fridge is a capsule I said, I will use it,  I understand whats the objective, how it work,  how to get it but there were more lessons to be learned. This time it’s super, greater than what I knew. The heat melt up the fridges interior , ”it moved”   wow how could I stopped this. I use a re flexing shield about .000276″ thick.  IT worked.I  am pleased with the result and rolling.One day the extension Officer  from Ministry of Agriculture, Apiculture unit came to do an inspection and sees the wax smelter at work.  When  its  almost time for the Denbigh agriculture show, Mr smith came and made me a Offer.” he said” MR Clarke is either you make me one or I am coming to steal yours  ”lol”  we had a laugh, so I ask for a few material and made  one and donated it to the BODLES research unitfrom 2010 its gone to DENBIGH . Its been reported that it melt one bucket of ca-pings a day.Its also been use for training and over 20 copy is reproduce.   I have made a third one again more advance, This time I am boiling eggs for lunch.  (boiling may need to change as I don’t use pot nor water) . My next stop, muffins and I am positive I can do fish.My next project is for the ST CATHERINE BEE FARMERS ASSOCIATION (SCBFA)  sponsored by USAID JAMAICA   a   LIFE PROJECT, again I try to improve  comb rock that separate the comb from the heat drain tray, adjustable shelf  ready to  re-spray and boil  eggs for almost a year now I have been boiling egg this way, just for fun on the 13 nov 2012 wax smelter was delivered to the SCBFA BUILDING at VANITY FAIR  LINSTEAD VANITY FAIR INSIDE  DELIVERED .  hope this wax smelter brings success to the SCBFA.
